Journal Entry #2: 29/5/2011

Today we finally got to film our commercial. It featured me doing my part just mouthing out the swear words angrily at the camera in front of a green screen. The green screen is used to easily change from background to background. These backgrounds being a middle of the hallway, inside a living room and in a park. We already filmed in the hallway, so with this we can change the green screen background and replace it with the hallway background. So far, everything is going according to the plan, so no changes have been made to the plan so far.

Journal Entry #1: 21/5/2011

Basically to start off our video we got our green screen ready in the library, the basic plan is:

1. First we will film the 1-minute long commercial. This will be done with the actor swearing loudly in front of a green screen. After 30 seconds of swearing. The 2^nd actor will take the first actor’s place and explain why swearing is bad. (Both actors need to memorize their lines using the scripts first).

2. The commercial will be uploaded to the mac

3. The commercial will be opened and then edited to get rid of extra noise on Adobe After Effects.

4. From here I will change the background to a park, then to a house, then to a school, so three different backgrounds will be moving constantly behind the actor (this is where the green screen helps).

5. This file will be uploaded to Garage Band and then the actor swearing will be muted, with the narrator talking about how the average high school student swears a lot.

6. This will be uploaded to I-Movie and ready to be shared.

7. Piczo and Facebook accounts will be created

8. Piczo will used to create a website where the commercial will be uploaded

9. Facebook will be used to create a social group to raise awareness of the problem.

10. Final Presentation

We understand that some steps will be changed through the create process, such as creating a piczo

and facebook account. We are already using a different website creator than piczo, being webs.com, this is because it has superior options, and a wide variety of these such as creating a blog, maintaining a forum, and more. So this is the first change that the blog will undergo. Outside of this my partner and I only prepared for creating a video, then we were told we have to create a site, facebook group, etc as well, and this is why we adapted our plan to the situation at hand.
